Coronado Men’s Basketball ‘25-’26 Coaching Staff

  • Jeff Kaufman

    Head Coach

Jeff Kaufman has served as the head coach of the Coronado Cougars boys’ basketball program for nearly two decades, steadily guiding the program into one of the country’s elite high-school basketball teams. Under his leadership, Coronado has posted multiple 20-win seasons in the highly competitive 5A Southern League. The Cougars have multiple region, division and league titles including 5 undefeated league seasons. Kaufman has won 6 Coach of the Year Awards. Known for emphasizing both fundamentals and strong culture, Kaufman has been a staple in Las Vegas prep basketball culture for the last 20 years. Coach Kaufman is a McDonalds All-American voter and committee member as well as a Hall of Fame voter, he has been named top 100 most influential people in college basketball the last four straight years. In 2020 Kaufman founded The Border League, now widely considered the most influential prep tournament in America.

One of his most visible successes came in developing talent such as Jaden Hardy—a former Coronado star who advanced to the NBA—whom Kaufman called “the best player I’ve ever coached.”

At his core, Kaufman’s approach marries winning basketball with character development: the ability to consistently compete at the upper echelon of Nevada high-school basketball while building players who perform on and off the court.

  • Eric Snow

    Assistant Coach

Eric Snow is a former NBA point guard turned coach, now serving as an assistant with the Coronado Cougars boys’ basketball program.

Known for his defensive intensity and leadership, Snow appeared in three NBA Finals, earned All-Defensive Second Team honors in 2003, and built a reputation as an unselfish, hard-working captain.

After his playing career concluded, Snow transitioned into coaching and player development roles — working under Hall-of-Famer Larry Brown at SMU, then serving at Florida Atlantic University before joining the high-school coaching ranks.

In his role with Coronado High School, Snow brings pro-level experience and a strong defensive mindset, complementing Coach Jeff Kaufman’s system and helping build student-athletes who succeed on and off the court.
